Janine graduated in 1992 from the international Academy of Physiotherapy in Utrecht, The Netherlands, with a bachelor of physiotherapy. She migrated to Australia in 1993 and worked in private practice as a senior physiotherapist and manager for 3 years before taking over Mitchelton Physiotherapy in 1997. Janine has been a lymphoedema physiotherapist for over 25 years and she also has a special interest in venous oedema and sports injuries, especially in children and young adults. Janine has been the physiotherapist for the Federation of Australian Futsal since 2016. In this position she has attended 5 World Cups.
Janine became a lymphoedema practitioner in 1996 and is registered on the NLPR (National lymphology Practitioner Register), is an accredited level 1 member of the ALA (Australasian Lymphology Association) and the LAQ (lymphoedema association Queensland). Janine is also a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Janine is the Clinical consultant and educator for Mobiderm® in Queensland. In 2020 she has written and presented 1 national webinar and 1 international webinar on the use of Mobiderm® in complex cases and breast oedema.
When Janine is not at work, she loves watching sports especially soccer, futsal and tennis, enjoys walking her dog and loves her art journaling.
Laura graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from James Cook University and has worked across Central and Eastern Victoria as a locum physiotherapist gaining experience in private practice clinics, age care facilities and pre-employment assessments. Laura subsequently moved to Brisbane at the end of 2018 to be closer to her family.
As part of the Mitchelton Physiotherapy team Laura will be pursuing her interest in sports injury management, as well as applying her dry needling expertise. Laura is passionate about her work and looks forward to learning more about her chosen profession alongside the rest of the team.
Outside of work Laura enjoys being outdoors going for bike rides, fishing, running, camping or participating in social netball, Frisbee or classes at her local gym.
The University of Queensland awarded Henry a Master of Physiotherapy Studies degree.
Henry enjoys working with patients of all ages and has a particular interest in vestibular physiotherapy, hand therapy, and orthopaedic physiotherapy. Henry is committed to establishing good working relationships with his patients and their families so that he can support them in returning to the activities they enjoy.
Henry speaks Mandarin and English fluently and enjoys basketball and badminton. He likes a variety of hobbies such as cycling, table tennis, and swimming. Henry also likes travel, particularly abroad.
